AC Maintenance & Tune-Ups
A cooling tune-up before summer keeps your system efficient and catches small problems before they turn into a breakdown on the hottest day of the year.
What Is AC Maintenance & Tune-Ups?
An AC tune-up is a hands-on inspection and cleaning of your cooling system. We clean the condenser coil, check refrigerant levels, test capacitors and electrical connections, clear the condensate drain, and replace your filter.
Most of the AC failures we see could have been caught during a routine tune-up. Regular maintenance also helps equipment last longer and keeps your manufacturer warranty on track.
When You Need It
- Your system is 5+ years old and has never been serviced
- Energy bills are higher than last summer
- The AC runs longer to reach the same temperature
- You want priority service when something does go wrong

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should my AC be serviced?
Once a year, ideally in spring before the heat arrives. Coastal homes benefit from an extra coil cleaning.
Will the tune-up turn into a sales pitch?
No. We tell you what we find, good or bad, and let you decide. We dislike the high-pressure HVAC playbook as much as you do.
Is a maintenance plan better than a one-time tune-up?
If you want both cooling and heating visits every year, priority scheduling and 15% off repairs, the plan usually costs less than booking visits separately.
